Betsy Bailey is the co-founder and co-editor of Pregnancy & Baby, SheKnows, GeoParent and ChefMom.com, among others. She has also served as the editor-in-chief of four national print magazines. She lives with her husband and their six children in Arizona.

Betsy Bailey graduated from The Ohio State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. While working in the marketing field – specializing in publication design, writing and editing – she began to freelance in both web development and graphic design, eventually leveraging her skills into a full-time career as a web designer.
In 1998, she joined forces with Nancy Price, co-founding Myria Media. The duo created several web sites, including SheKnows.com, ChefMom.com, GeoParent.com (originally InteractiveParent.com), ePregnancy.com and PregnancyAndBaby.com – along with their first site, the award-winning Myria.com, a resource for women who were also mothers.
Betsy’s web work has been recognized by many major media outlets, including Family PC, Redbook, Town & Country, The Wall Street Journal, Access, NBC’s Home Page (TV show), USA Today, the Los Angeles Timesand TIME, among others.
In 2000, Betsy – together with Nancy Price – was named founding editor of Pregnancy magazine, and in 2002, Betsy and Nancy were the founding editors-in-chief of ePregnancy magazine. From 2003-2005, they also served as the executive editors of three food/cooking and diet/fitness newsstand titles.The two women have appeared and been interviewed on various radio and TV news programs, Hispanic TV, Leeza Gibbons Live and a variety of other newspapers, trade journals and magazines.
Although their company was founded in 1998, the two company principals did not meet in person until 2002. Until that point, the two communicated exclusively online and by phone. Their unique story led the women to be featured during their first in-person meeting in a 15-minute segment on Paramount’s Life Moments reality program, which was broadcast during the daytime on NBC.
Since 2003, Betsy has been a founding publisher for SheKnows.com and its associated sites, innovating Web resources specific to the needs and desires of women.
