A woman doesn’t have to lose her identity when she becomes a mother. That’s what the women behind Myria Magazine (http://myria.com), a web site for mothers, believe. The site — created, financed and operated by two at-home moms — was profiled in the June 1999 issue of Redbook magazine alongside ‘net heavy hitters iVillage, Women.com and ThriveOnline. (more…)

Parents: Do more than just click at new Web site

Moms and dads can cast their votes on various parenting issues, offer feedback on products, print practical checklists and enjoy other interactive tools and games at a new Web site, Interactive Parent (http://InteractiveParent.com).

The site links parents to information about everything from diapering tips to parenting strategies to expert advice from a panel of pediatricians.

Most of the nearly 300 articles and features — covering pregnancy through raising teens — invite users to get interactive by voting in polls, voicing their opinions on the message boards, taking notes or downloading checklists.
